Sorry to come into this a bit late but I agree with just about everything in the article. The only thing I don't agree with is that she has anything to prove over 1400m. She generally wins so easily over 1200m even against good horses that it's clear over 1400m she'll be ok provided she doesn't get caught in a speed battle early. But I agree 100% that the Orr win did nothing to prove anything.

I take your point Molanski. I guess I'm more talking about where he was in running and the pace of the race. He puts himself into a good position but good positions are only good if the pace of the race suits aswell which I believe it has done. I too will have a bet on Dariana if the ground suits.

I'm terrible at predicting Melb Cup winners but for what it's worth, I'm not convinced about So You Think over 3200m. He has had things go his way in his last couple. I'm a massive fan of the horse (barring the fact I lost plenty on him in the Caulfield Guineas) but, as the odds suggest, he is more chance of losing than winning, unlike he was in the Coz Plate. Bear in mind that I thought the same about Saintly. Unless Shocking fires I'm thinking one of the foreigners will win.

Awesome race. Can't wait to see what happens. You've got the proven horses like Listen Son, Funtantes and Lochiel. Then there's the one's on the way up in Tunahog, Zippy Lou. And if there's any semblance of speed look for Rokatoko and Rambling On flying home. And there's others like Tycoon's Pride and Web of Love. You've got to think that Zippy Lou and Tunahog are going to get the good runs so I'm leaning toward them but nothing will surprise me here.
